Our Business Development Manager (Halal Sector): Lesley
At Riverside Foods, we pride ourselves on fostering a close-knit, dedicated team, and we’re thrilled to welcome back Lesley Hammam, our Business Development Manager for the Halal sector. Having previously worked with Riverside and spent time living in Egypt, Lesley brings a wealth of experience and passion to her role.
With over 25 years of experience in the Halal industry, Lesley’s deep understanding of Halal food is shaped by her time living between the UK and Egypt, where she gained dual British-Egyptian nationality. Fluent in Arabic, Lesley’s ability to connect with Middle Eastern customers and understand the nuances of their needs is unmatched.
“I was delighted to re-join the Riverside team,” Lesley shares. “The company’s core values, commitment to innovation, and strong sense of family made it an easy decision. It feels like I never left, and I’m excited to contribute to such a dynamic and diverse industry.”
In her role, Lesley will focus on nurturing existing relationships with Halal wholesalers while expanding product ranges to meet customer needs. She’s looking forward to reconnecting with clients, showcasing new products through cook-offs, and representing Riverside Foods at trade shows in the coming year.
