Some moves are just practical. A bigger desk, a better postcode, a few extra square metres. And then there are moves that mean something more; the kind that mark a genuine turning point in a company’s story. For Riverside Foods, this is one of those moves.
We are thrilled to announce that we are relocating to our brand new headquarters at Unit 8, Mile End Business Park, Shrewsbury Road, Morda, Oswestry — a modern, larger, and better-equipped base from which we will continue to serve our customers, partners and the wider foodservice industry with the quality and consistency you have always expected from us.
The timing could not feel more right. With our Co-owner and Managing Director Leigh Morris returning to the business after a remarkable year, and an ambitious new strategy firmly in place, stepping into a new premises feels less like a logistical change and more like a statement of intent.
Why We’re Moving
Riverside Foods has always grown. More than 40 years of supplying premium halal certified, antibiotic-free poultry to foodservice operators, wholesalers and buyers across the UK demands a base that keeps pace with that ambition, and our new home does exactly that.
Unit 8 Mile End Business Park gives us significantly more space across the board. Better office facilities for the team we are building. Improved operational infrastructure that allows us to serve our customers more efficiently. A modern, accessible location that reflects where Riverside Foods is heading, not just where it has been.
For our customers and trade partners, that means the same trusted service, the same certified quality, and the same reliable supply chain you have always relied on; delivered from a base that is built for the next decade of growth.
Our New Neighbours: EcoFast
We are sharing our new home with EcoFast, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of food waste management systems for the foodservice sector. With over 30 years of experience and hundreds of completed projects across healthcare, hospitality, education, retail and government, EcoFast’s mission is straightforward and powerful: ending food waste through innovation.
EcoFast provides a complete food waste solution including product design, manufacture, installation and after-sales service, and their systems reduce the weight and mass of food waste by up to 80%, minimising the amount sent to landfill and reducing CO2 emissions.
The two businesses operate entirely independently under the same roof, but the alignment in values is not lost on us. Riverside Foods has long held sustainability as a genuine business value, from our antibiotic-free production to our single-source, fully traceable supply chain. Sharing a premises with a business that is actively working to solve one of the food industry’s most pressing challenges feels entirely natural.
EcoFast is led by Steve Witt, whose support during a particularly significant period for Riverside Foods has been greatly appreciated. It is a relationship built on mutual respect, shared values and a genuine belief that businesses in the food sector should be doing things properly.
