Back to School

Thursday, 30th August 2018

Families are eating more takeaways and fast food meals on a regular basis. NPD reports that as of February 2018, the takeaway delivery market has increased in value from £2.4 billion to £4.2 billion - a growth of 73% in the past decade.

Now that the summer holidays have come to an end, children are heading back to school. This is where a potential struggle in the classroom may arise. After seven weeks of being allowed to stay up later than normal, and enjoy treat meals on a more regular basis, what’s the best way to get kids settled back into the school routine?

One of simplest solutions is to give them quality food that supplies the right nutrients and vitamins. It’s now established that a good diet helps children to focus, develop and learn. Chicken, one of our main products, is widely known for its protein quality, but it’s also naturally high in vitamins and minerals such as B3, B6 and and Selenium.

Vitamin B6 is essential for brain development in kids, as well as for general functioning in people of all ages. Vitamin B3 helps the digestive and nervous system and clears the skin, while Selenium is an important nutrient that helps the body stay healthy.

If you’re looking for a healthy addition to your school menu, we’d recommend our chicken wings or whole muscle product range, which is simply premium quality, unprocessed chicken breast - not chopped or formed in any way.
